Super Quick-acting Fuse Offers Low Current Ratings in Compact 1206 Footprint

Schurter's New USFF 1206 – Low impedance fuse for sensitive electronic circuits

Nu-Way introduces Schurter’s new USFF 1206 low impedance surface mount fuse. This fuse extends the existing current range of the USF series to include lower current ratings from 160 to 250mA. The super-quick acting characteristic provides a reliable and stable opening time, required for extremely sensitive electronic circuits. The wire bond technology allows for increased protection of DC overcurrent conditions in dense circuits, where heat dissipation is critical.

For example, the low voltage drop value for the 200 mA version is 87 mV, which is about three times less than existing products on the market.

The USFF has an industry standard 1206 footprint of 3.2 X1.6mm with a height of 1.6mm. At rated voltage of 125 VAC/63 VDC, the USFF 1206 has a breaking capacity of 100A. Operating temperature range is -55° C to +90° C. The fuse marked with visible indication of the current rating allows for easy identification and inventory tracking. It is built according to UL 248-14 and is cURus approved.

The fuse is ideally suited for applications such as PC cards, disk drivers, notepads and other computer and communication devices. The USFF 1206 is packaged in 1,000, 5,000 and 15,000 piece tape and reel. See detailed
specifications at www.schurterinc.com/new_fuses.
